Andrew Porter of the Braehead
Pharmacy in the Braehead Shopping Centre is proud to be the only independent
pharmacy in the Bridge of Don area. The business has been established for over
25 years and is currently run by Andrew and his wife Lynne, both of whom have
been qualified for five years and live locally.
They are proud to be able to offer a wide range of services to help and advise
the local population and have had great success with their smoking cessation
service. They are also pleased to be able to offer a prescription collection and
delivery service for patients unable to get to the surgery or a pharmacy.
The Braehead Pharmacy has recently been refurbished and now includes a separate, private
consultation room and because both Andrew and Lynne are fully qualified, they
are both able to offer consultations.
Andrew and Lynne have been trained to offer helpful, easy-to-understand advice
on the treatment of everyday minor ailments for yourself and all the family: anything
from headaches and coughs and colds to cold sores and dermatitis. They will know
when medical help is needed and will not hesitate to refer you to your doctor
if your symptoms demand it. However, often an over-the-counter remedy will be
all you need and pharmacies offer far more medicines than any other outlets.
